Sue Ellen Stewart, PT,
Physical Therapist | Post-Operative Specialist | Osteoporosis Education

Sue Ellen brings more than four decades of experience in orthopedic physical therapy, with a clinical focus on post-surgical rehabilitation, orthopedic injuries, shoulder dysfunction, and helping people safely return to active lifestyles. She earned her physical therapy degree from the University of Utah in 1979 and has spent her career helping patients restore strength, movement, and confidence following injury or surgery.
Earlier in her career, Sue Ellen worked in a variety of clinical settings, including Kaiser Permanente specialty clinics in sports medicine, spine care, and scoliosis. She partnered closely with orthopedic surgeons, podiatrists, and physiatrists, gaining extensive experience managing a wide range of orthopedic diagnoses and post-operative recovery needs. She has also implemented and taught corporate wellness programs and has consulted in out-of-state physical therapy practice reviews.
Today at Connect & Beyond Physical Therapy, Sue Ellen enjoys working with individuals recovering from orthopedic surgery, managing orthopedic conditions, and providing education and guidance on bone health, osteoporosis prevention, and management. She is passionate about helping people return to the activities that matter most to them — whether that means everyday movement without pain or getting back to higher-level recreational pursuits.
Sue Ellen approaches care as a partnership, working alongside each patient to support their health journey and build a path back to confident, active living.
Outside the clinic, Sue Ellen enjoys hiking, yoga, and weight training. She especially loves visiting national parks, traveling, spending time outdoors with her husband, and staying connected with their adult children.
Favorite Place to Recharge: Hiking and biking Oregon’s scenic trails and national parks with her husband and family.
